H’Atina (pronounced Ah-Teena), the “H” is silent. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she is a soulful singer-songwriter who attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Her vocal background and abilities include rhythm & blues, pop, funk, neo-soul, jazz, Latin jazz, adult contemporary, and musical theatre. Every time H’Atina opens her mouth she will give you a serious soulful ear-gasim and has an amazing vocal range. She has performed with the late Ron Townsen (of the 5th Dimension), The (new) 5th Dimension, Ruben Studdard (American Idol Winner), The Amanda Castro Band, Bassist Darryl Williams (who’s recent CD release and song “Here To Stay” hit top 10 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Airplay Charts), Saxophonists Keith McKelley, and the late Wilton Felder (of the Jazz Crusaders), R&B singing sensation Erin Stevenson, and H’Atina has also performed on BET Live! with the R&B group IMX (formerly known as ‘Immature’). She has graced the stages of hot spots and festivals throughout Southern California, Arizona, and Southern States, and usually performs with her dynamic band. H'Atina is also a 2006 Southern California Music Awards Nominee for Best R&B vocalist and was voted MVP for her key role in the jazzy musical, Smokey Joe's Cafe in 2008.
H'Atina's hit single "Easy to Love You", released in 2016, was #1 for 16 weeks straight on the radiomusic.com charts. She released her "Like A Butterfly" EP in 2017 and has been catching the attention of smooth jazz and soul internet DJs throughout the U.S. and the U.K. Her music is enjoyed by Pandora, Sound Cloud, Spotify, Google Play, and iTunes listeners all over the world.
