"I want to  create everlasting music that deeply touches people, and provide performances that exude genuine emotional energy.  Yes, Music is My Zen!" - H'Atina

H’Atina (pronounced Ah-Teena), the “H” is silent. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she is a soulful singer-songwriter who attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Her vocal background and abilities include rhythm & blues, pop, funk, neo-soul, jazz, Latin jazz, adult contemporary, and musical theatre, and she has an amazing vocal range and tone. Every time she opens her mouth she will give you a serious soulful ear-gasim. Over the past years H’Atina has been through some serious personal challenges. Life happened, she became a mother, a wife, a step-mother, therefore causing her journey and passion in music to be put on the back burner. About 5 years ago after making some drastic but necessary changes in her life, becoming a divorcee, and moving back to L.A., she decided to pick up where she left off to embrace and pursue her First Love, Music. She was determined not to let anything or anyone stand in her way this time. Since then H’Atina’s independent music career has truly blossomed. In these recent years, she has shared the stage with The (new) 5th Dimension, Ruben Studdard (American Idol Winner), Acclaimed Pianist Keiko Matsui, DW3, Take 6, The Manhattan Transfer, Jon B, The Amanda Castro Band, Bassist Darryl Williams, R&B Singer-Songwriter-Producer Erin Stevenson, and Guitarist Ray Fuller. Prior to her hiatus H’Atina has also performed on BET Live! with the R&B group IMX (formerly known as ‘Immature’), the late Ron Townsen (of the Original 5th Dimension), and the late Saxophonist Wilton Felder (of the Jazz Crusaders). She has graced the stages of hot spots and festivals throughout Southern California, Arizona, and Southern States, with her dynamic band. H'Atina is also a 2006 Southern California Music Awards Nominee for Best R&B vocalist for her 2002 Self-Titled Debut EP, and was voted MVP for her key role in the jazzy musical, Smokey Joe's Cafe in 2008.
